2-4. Confi rming Product fi rmware information
Press the [connection] button in the "Connect and Update" box.
If Rio is connected through the network, the fi rmware state of
the Product is shown.
("version Unknown" appears for the firmware before being
updated with the application.)
If Rio cannot be connected through the network, the causal
factors are as follows.
• Ethernet cable is not connected.
• Network terminal peripheral circuit is damaged.
• Network settings are incorrect.

2-5. Starting updating
Press the [update] button in the Connect and Update box.
The update file is transferred to the Product and written into
FLASH ROM.

2-6. During updating
[updating fi rmware...] is shown and the progress status is also
shown on the progress bar.

2-7. End of updating
When updating is fi nished, [Update was completed. Close this
Update Program] appears.

2-8. End of application
Press the [X] button at the upper right to end the application
program.
2-9. Turning off the power of Rio3224-D
1) Set the DIP switch to the normal mode.
All off
2) Turn off the power switch of Rio3224-D.
2-10. In case of updating failed
If an error occurs during writing or writing is not fi nished after
a long time, end the application once, restart Rio3224-D and
perform the fi rmware updating procedure from the beginning.
