Removing the water pump and shift
rod
1. Remove the water pump housing "1",
O-ring "2", dowels "3", collar "4", spacer
"5", washers "6", wave washer "7", and
impeller "8".
2. Remove the Woodruff key "9", outer plate
cartridge "10", and gasket "11".

3. Remove the rubber seal "1" and plate "2".
4. Set the gear shift to the N position.

5. Remove the shift rod "1".

1. Remove the insert cartridge "1" and
O-ring "2".
2. Remove the cover "1" and seal "2".
Checking the water pump and shift
rod
1. Check the water pump housing. Replace
if deformed.
