How to Access CLI Through a USB Serial Port or
Ethernet Port
The SSH-C48Q switch includes a management agent that allows you to configure or
monitor the switch using its embedded management software.
After switch powered-on, you may need to make a few basic switch configuration
changes by accessing CLI before connecting to the network. The CLI can be accessed
two ways:
1. Using the USB serial port (with optional management card).
2. Through Ethernet port, using Telnet or SSH.
The USB Console port
switch for out-of-band console configuration. The console device can be a PC or
workstation running a Putty, Tera Term or other serial console. A USB console cable is
supplied with the switch for connecting to a PC's USB port.
