5.3.2 Job screen

5.3.1.2 Changing the paper thickness mode

You can select the paper thickness mode depending on the thickness of the document to prevent double
feeding or paper jams.
For details about operation panel, refer to "5 Operation Panel" (page 20).
When the Home screen is on the LCD, press
thickness modes.
You can select one of the following paper thickness modes. The default setting is "Standard paper mode".
Paper thickness mode
Thin paper mode
(20 g/m² – 50 g/m²)
(5.2 lb. – 13.3 lb.)
Standard paper mode
(40 g/m² – 157 g/m²)
(10.6 lb. – 41.8 lb.)
Thick paper mode
(157 g/m² – 255 g/m²)
(41.8 lb. – 68 lb.)
Automatic mode
(20 g/m² – 255 g/m²)
(5.2 lb. – 68 lb.)
Notice
The paper thicknesses in the table above are based on high-quality woodfree paper. Documents may
not feed correctly depending on the type of paper used. If that is the case, change the paper
thickness mode, and scan again.
Note
The paper thickness mode is enabled when automatic feeding is set.
5.3.2 Job screen
The Job screen is displayed when pressing the Job button (
steps 1 to 4 in "7.3.2.1 Performing push scan" (page 59).
