Error codes and simple messages describing the scanner's condition are displayed on the LCD. For details

Cause
The paper has jammed in the feed
tray area.
The sensors are dirty.
A paper jam has occurred in the unit.
The sensors are dirty.
Paper has been left in the scanner.

A stapled or damaged document has
been detected.
A double-feed error has occurred.
A stapled document has been
detected.
The feed tray is full.
The ADF door is open.
The Imprinter door is open.
A system error has occurred.
Remedy
Open the ADF door, and remove the
paper.
Clean the sensors.
Open the ADF door, and remove the
paper.
Clean the sensors.
Open the ADF door, and remove all the
paper left inside.
Clean the sensors.
Open the ADF door, and remove all the
paper left inside.
Open the ADF door, and remove the
jammed paper.
Open the ADF door, and remove all the
paper left inside.
Remove the documents from the tray,
open the ADF door, and then close it.
Close the ADF door.
Close the Imprinter door.
