Camera PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) control and proactive alarm function. To enhance the security level, NVS-3510 / NVS-3520 supports SD/SDHC Card up to 32 GB as a local backup storage when the network connection is broken. NVS-3510 / NVS-3520 also supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) functionality and can be used with PoE Ethernet switches.

2.2.2 Settle System After mounted the chassis, it is time to settle the whole system. Connect to network Connect Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 jack. Insert SD card Insert SD card into the slot. Software Installation The utility CD contains several tools which help developing the full functions of 3510/ 3520. eSurveillance: It installs tools eView, eSearch and ePlayer. The eView monitors multiple IP cameras at same time. Besides, recording and playback are also supported. The eSearch helps to find out all available 3510/3520s in the network.
Startup To connect with 3510/3520, you have to know the IP address of it. The default setting of IP source is set to DHCP. Unless you changed the setting to static IP, the eSearch is the best tool to help finding the 3510/3520. The eSearch finds out all available 3510/3520 in the network.
First Page Below is the first page of 3510/3520 webpage. The left part is the menu and the right part is the default page - the Live View. The menu divided into 4 parts: Live Video, Basic Set- tings, Application and Operation. The Live Video offers the live view function.
Live View NVS-3510 has one video source input. NVS-3520 has two video source inputs. Every video source offers two video streaming. The first web page is the Live View page. In this page, user can select different video source and streaming.
The 3510/3520 webpage offers all the options of configuration. Video Configuration There are two Video pages, Video1 and Video2, in the Video webpage. Every Video page has three sub-pages: Camera, Stream and OSD. Note! In all webpage, the Apply button only notifies 3510/3520 to accept the changed settings, but not store in 3510/3520 yet.

4.3.2 Advanced In the Advanced webpage, you can assign the specific IP addresses as rejecting or accepting. You can choose one of the behaviors. Setting Items: Include Radio Box: Check this item makes all the IP addresses in the list to be the only acceptable IP addresses which can browse the webpage.
4.3.3 Server The Server webpage configures the host name, HTTP port and RTSP port. The default HTTP port is 80 and the default RTSP port is 554. Serial Configuration 3510/3520 has two serial ports. You can configure them here. The first serial is dedi- cated to control PTZ camera. The second serial port is used for ModBus. 4.4.1 Serial UART1 tab: Switch to first serial port. UART2 tab: Switch to second serial port. Port Type: The protocol for serial communication.
Alarm Configuration 4.5.1 The 3510/3520 has 4 sets of DI. You can configure them individually. Setting Items: Trigger by check box: Check this box enables the DI pin trigger the alarm. Trigger by list box: The trigger rules - High, Low, High->Low, Low->High. Action - DO #1 check box: Check this box enables output DO#1 as alarm.
4.5.2 Failure This webpage decides whether 3510/3520 has to store video stream to SD disk when failed to transmit video stream. Setting Items: Video stream receive fail: SD disk recording check box: Check this box enables the 3510/3520 starts recording video into SD disk if video stream receive failed.
4.5.3 Config This page defines how long the alarm kept. Setting Items: DO#1: Post Alarm (sec) box: Assign how long the DO#1 kept output after DI triggered. DO#2: Post Alarm (sec) box: Assign how long the DO#2 kept output after DI triggered.
System Configuration The System Configuration webpage manages the authentication, user account and time of 3510/3520. 4.6.1 User Account and Authentication The authentication has two fields: Web and RTSP. User can configure these two fields separately. Once the authentication is enabled, user has to key in correct user- name and password to access the webpage or video stream.
User List Setting Items: User account list: This table lists all user accounts. User Name box: Edit username. Password and Confirm Password box: Edit password. User Group radio box: Two options behind. The Admin has all access rights and the Viewer can only fetch video stream. Add/Modify button: Activate the changing of user account.

4.7.3 Upgrade This page upgrades 3510/3520’s FW on line. All the settings will be clear to factory default. Except network setting can be kept. Control Item: Factory Default group: Within this group controls the option of restore to factory default when upgrades FW. Keep Network Setting check box: Check this item will keep network setting when upgrades FW.
PTZ Configuration This webpage configures the serial port 2 for controlling PTZ camera. 4.8.1 Configure PTZ for Video Since 3520 has two video sources, it can control two PTZ cameras: the Video 1 and Video 2. The two cameras share the same serial port. You can distinguish them by assign different Device ID.

Modbus Configuration Serial port 2 supports Modbus protocol. It can access Modbus devices through serial port or Ethernet. 3510/3520 shows the reading of Modbus device on video stream (The “Information On-Screen” function stated in Overview / Chapter 1). 4.9.1 Setting Modbus for Video For every video source, you can assign two sets of Modbus devices.

Setting Items: iOSD combo box: Select a Modbus controlling setting. There are two options: iOsd1 and iOsd2. Enable check box: Check this box to enable this set of Modbus controlling. Use Mouse to click on the video preview window for assigning the location of the reading.
Alarm check box: Check this box to enable alarm function. If output value is out of the range of High and Low, the color of text turns red. High box: Assign the upper threshold of output value to trigger alarm. Low box: Assign the lower threshold of output value to trigger alarm.
4.10 Configuring Confirmation In all webpage, the Apply button only notifies 3510/3520 to accept the changed set- tings, but not store in 3510/3520 yet. User has to click Save menu to store the set- tings into 3510/3520 and click Reboot menu to activate the configuration. 4.10.1 Save Click the Save menu opens the confirmation dialog.
Using eSearch The eSearch finds out all the 3510/3520 in the network. 5.1.1 Finding IP Address To open eSearch, please double click on the icon on Windows Desktop. It finds the available 3510/3520 automatically. The “IP” column lists the IP addresses of all 3510/3520s. IP address can be used for browsing by IE.
5.1.4 Configuration Besides finding 3510/3520, eSearch can also configure the 3510/3520. Select a detected 3510/3520 by click on the lists first. Click on Setting button to open the setting dialog. Configure name, network, login and video attribute. After finishing configuration, push on Submit button to apply the new settings. Rename Change the name of 3510/3520’s in the Name field.
Video Setting Configure the attribute of video by push on Video... button to open the dialog. Adjust the setting by pulling the bar. 5.1.5 Browsing After eSearch had found the 3510/3520s, user can double click the mouse on the any of them. The browser IE opens automatically to access its various functions. Or select a 3510/3520 first then click the Browse button to explore 3510/3520’s func- tions by IE.
