Yap Jack Pro User's Guide – Chapter 5

Device Setup Sub-Menu

Device Setup enables you to configure the following Yap
Jack Pro options:
Field Name Description
Call Waiting This field tells the device if you
have the Call Waiting feature
active (select In Use) on your
telephone line or not active
(select Not in Use). The default
setting is Not in Use.
C-W Enable Code Some telephone systems need
to receive an Enable Code to
turn the Call Waiting feature back
on after you've disconnected
from your ISP. If you're not sure
whether you need this code or
not, check with your local
telephone company.
C-W Block Code
If you have selected the In Use
setting for Call Waiting, then you
must enter the Call Waiting Block
code in this field. This code will
turn off the feature while you're
placing calls using the device.
You must provide this code or
your Yap Jack Pro call will be
dropped when another call
comes in. If you're not sure of
what the code is, check with your
local telephone company.
Modem Country To activate the appropriate
modem standards for your
country, enter your country code.
See page 40 for a list of country
codes. The default country code
is 1 (United States).
