Yap Jack Pro User's Guide – Chapter 3

Cost of Call

You can choose whether or not to display the cost of the
call while the call is in progress. By default, the cost is
displayed. For more information on configuring this option,
see Displaying the Cost of the Call in Chapter 6, Using
Other Features.

Volume

To make the volume softer or louder, press the left (
and right (
) arrow keys until the volume is comfortable.

Connection Indicator Lights

While the Yap Jack Pro attempts to connect to both the
ISP and to the destination phone number, the lights to the
right of the LCD indicate the status of the connection
attempt. The following table lists the light behaviors for
each of the two lights on the device and what they mean.

Calling Regular Telephones

Disconnect Mode

When you make a call in Disconnect mode, the Yap Jack
Pro disconnects from your ISP after each call. This is the
default setting when you receive your device.
To make a call to a regular telephone in Disconnect
mode:

Pick up your telephone handset, and listen for a
dial tone.
