Editor Alarms Tab

All 16 discrete alarms are configured from Editor Mode, Alarms tab. Descriptions of the alarm point, polarity
(normal or reversed), and a (YES/NO) option to use an SNMP Trap are configured in this tab — see Figure 5.17.
To configure your alarms, do the following:
1. From the Editor Mode select the Alarms tab.
2. Enter a description for each discrete input alarm being used.
3. Reverse the polarity by selecting Reverse from the drop down menu. Normal: contact closure is an alarm. If
the Reverse option is selected, the alarm is clear when closed.
4. Select Yes from the trap box to send an SNMP trap for that alarm point. Selecting Yes= Send trap, No= Don't
Send (default trap setting is Yes).
Note : In the Alarm Channel Off Mode you will be able to enter your alarm descriptions but you will not be able
to configure the unit to send traps. You can reverse the polarity by selecting Reverse from the drop down menu.
Reversing the alarm polarity will set the unit to alarm a point when the contacts are open.
