4. Finally, set the Primary and Secondary Trap Destinations. Set the Trap Address and Trap Port to designate
where you would like traps to be sent. Set the Trap Address to 255.255.255.255 if an alarm trap is not
required.
Ensure SNMP trap addresses and the trap ports match your SNMP manager. Also, the Get, Set, and Trap
community names should match the SNMP manager. These case sensitive Get, Set, and Trap community names
create a method of security for responding to SNMP requests. The SNMP manager will only respond to those
SNMP requests that possess the community name defined here. Refer to your SNMP manager for any SNMP
Community names being used.
Note: For optimal performance, make sure the SNMP poll timeout value is set to 500 msec or greater in your
SNMP master.

Editor Relays Tab

To monitor your relays you must enter a description on the Relays tab in the Editor Mode. To configure your
relays do the following:
1. In the Editor Mode click on the Relays tab.
2. Type the descriptions of your relays in the Description box — see Figure 5.16.
3. Choose Yes or No to send SNMP traps (default trap setting is Yes). Selecting Yes= Send trap, No= Don't
Send.
Note : In the Alarm Channel Off Mode you can enter your relay descriptions but you won't be able to configure
the unit to send traps.
Field
Get Community name for SNMP GET requests.
Set Community name for SNMP SET requests.
Trap Community name for SNMP Traps.
