If the Yap Jack Plus does not work through a
computer, then how do I set it up?
A
The Yap Jack Plus is configured using a
telephone keypad attached to the device and
the LCD screen. See Chapter 4, Configuring
Your Yap Jack Plus for more information.
What equipment do I need to use a Yap Jack
Plus?
A
All you need is a standard analog telephone
and an account with an Internet service
provider (ISP) that works with the PPP protocol.
This is the standard method of dialing in to the
Internet.
Is the Yap Jack Plus difficult to configure; how
long does it take?
A
The configuration is quite simple, and initial
setup can be done in five minutes or so. All you
must do is follow the Quick Start Guide to set
up your Yap Jack Plus Account/PIN and your
ISP account information using the telephone
keypad to enter the information.
Can I make regular phone calls without
disconnecting the Yap Jack Plus?
A
Yes, the YAP Jack Plus only functions when
you press the @ button on the top of the box.
Otherwise, you can use the attached phone as
you normally do.
