How do I dial a number with the Yap Jack Plus?
A
There are two options: you can dial as though
you are in the United States or you can use
masked dialing. To call a number in New
Jersey, for example, first press the @ button on
the Yap Jack Plus, then dial 1-201-555-1212.
To call a number outside of North America,
press the @ button and then dial 011 + country
code + city code + number. To find out how to
use masked dialing, refer to the Using Masked
Dialing section in Chapter 5, Using Other
Features.

I use AOL as my Internet Service Provider (ISP)
but it does not work with the Yap Jack Plus.

The YAP Jack Plus will not currently work with
AOL, as the device requires an ISP that utilizes
Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP).

My Yap Jack Plus has very low audio. How can I
raise the volume?
A
There are two things that you should check if
you are experiencing low audio on the Yap
Jack Plus. First and foremost, check the
volume on the phone. If the volume is still too
low, press the up arrow button on your Yap
Jack Plus while you are speaking until the
volume is high enough.

Do I need a computer to use a Yap Jack Plus?
A
No, the Yap Jack Plus works through a
standard telephone line by dialing into an ISP.
No need for a computer!
