Yap Jack Plus User's Guide – Chapter 3

Stay Connected Mode

When you make a call in Stay Connected mode, the Yap
Jack Plus stays connected to your ISP after each call.
However, the first call is a similar experience to calling in
Disconnect mode.
To make your first call to a regular telephone in Stay
Connected mode:
For information on how to change your
connection option to Stay Connected, refer
to Chapter 4, Configuring Your Device.
While in Stay Connected mode, do not press
the Menu/Exit button at any time during your
call. If you press Menu/Exit, you will
disconnect from the ISP.
1. Pick up your telephone handset, and listen for a
dial tone.
2. Press the @ button on your Yap Jack Plus.
3. Using your telephone keypad, dial the number of
the person you want to call.
?? For all domestic calls within the US,
dial 1 + area code + 7-digit telephone
number.
?? For international calls placed from
the US, dial 011 + country code +
city code + telephone number.
?? If you are calling from outside the
US to the US, dial 1 + area code + 7-
digit telephone number.
?? If you are calling from outside the
US, dial 011 + country code + city
code + telephone number.
If you need to delete a previously entered
number, you can back up and delete it by
pressing the left (? ) button.
You will hear "Please hold while your call is being
connected." Then, after a few seconds, your Yap
Jack Plus will place the call through your ISP.
This process will take some time, depending on
