The ARX®1000 switch provides all functionality through one basic module,
the Application Control Module (ACM), which provides scaled down
features and components from the ARX®6000's System Control Module
(SCM), Adaptive Services Module (ASM), and Network Services Module
(NSM).

• Out-of-band 10/100 Ethernet interface for local/remote switch
management
• Service definition and policy enforcement
• Failover signaling and configuration information
• Port mirroring and debugging
• MAC address assignment for Ethernet ports
• Real-time clock synchronization for user interfaces
• Switch health status and statistics monitoring and management through
LEDs and software
• Temperature and power monitoring
