Upgrading the DSPDB Card

Replace the CF card and retain the customers recordings

This method is recommended if you are upgrading at an existing customer as it will keep the customers
recorded messages (VRS and Voice Mail).

Power off the XN120 system

Remove the Version 1
Compact Flash card from the
DSPDB card

Use your PC to copy the
customer's recordings from the
Version 1 compact flash card.
This will copy the voice mail
and VRS messages to your
PC.

Use your PC to copy the
customer's recordings to the
Version 2 compact flash card.

Fit the Version 2 Compact
Flash card into the DSPDB
card

Power on the XN120 system

You must also power off each XN120 expansion unit if you have any
installed.
The card pulls out;
there are no retaining clips.
Insert the Version 1 compact flash card into your PC.
Navigate to the VM folder, you will see four folders:
DATA
ICM
OGM
PROMPTS
Copy the ICM and OGM folders from the compact flash card to your
PC.
Remove the Version 1 compact flash card from your PC.
Insert the Version 2 compact flash card into your PC.
Navigate to the VM folder on the Version 2 CF card, you will see four
folders:
DATA
ICM
OGM
PROMPTS
Delete the ICM and OGM folders from the compact flash.
Copy the ICM and OGM folders from your PC (copied from the Version
1 CF card in step 3) to the Version 2 compact flash card.
Remove the Version 2 compact flash card from your PC.
The card pushes in;
there are no retaining clips.
If you have any expansion units installed you must power these on
first.
The DSPDB card will be configured automatically.
! System Start Up – Retain Customer Configuration
This is the normal operation for powering the XN120 on.
Before you power on the system check that the NORMAL switch is set
to ON. This will ensure that the system memory retains your
configuration.
The NORMAL switch is located to the right of the MOH/Page
connector on the main unit; refer to the Getting Started Guide supplied
with the XN120 for further information.
