Placing Two-Sided Originals

Two-sided originals have the following types and are combined with the portrait or
landscape orientation, such as "book type in portrait orientation."

Place your originals as indicated below:
■ For Book Type Originals in Portrait Orientation
Type of Original
* Turn over the original vertically to scan the back side, making sure that the original is placed in the same
orientation as the front side was scanned.

Placing Orientations of Originals
The front and back sides of the original have the same
top-to-bottom orientation: these originals will open
horizontally if bound. (The illustration shown to the left is
for "book type in portrait orientation.")
The front and back sides of the original have opposite
top-to-bottom orientations: these originals will open
vertically if bound. (The illustration shown to the left is for
"calendar type in landscape orientation.")
