Verifying the installation

Before powering on the switch, verify that the following requirements are met:
•
Sufficient clearance is reserved around the switch for heat dissipation.
•
The rack or workbench is stable.
•
The grounding cable is connected correctly.
•
The power source is as required by the switch.
•
The power cords are connected correctly.
•
All the interface cables are cabled indoors. If any cable is routed outdoors, verify that a surge
protected power strip is used for the AC power cord and lightning arresters have been used for
network ports.
