NIBPs < [lower limit]
NIBPs > [upper limit]
NIBPd < [lower limit]
NIBPd > [upper limit]
NIBPm < [lower limit] Mean pressure too low.
NIBPm > [upper limit] Mean pressure too high.
1.
Possible cause
No NIBP module detected.
Patient has moved.
Max. required pressure is higher
than the initial pressure of
160 mmHg.
Patient has moved.
Very unsteady pulse.
Air tube plugged or leaking.
No cuff connected, or cuff or
insufficiently fitted or defective.
Blocked tube; kink in the tube.
Cuff not applied correctly.
Pulse too low for good
measurement.
Inflation time exceeded (max.
135 sec.) due to interferences
because the patient has moved
Systolic pressure too low.
Systolic pressure too high.
Diastolic pressure too low.
Diastolic pressure too high.
If the initial pressure is too low, the measurement is immediately restarted and the pressure is increased by
60 mmHg.
Suggested action
Switch off and restart.
Replace monitor.
Calm the patient.
Repeat measurement. The monitor will
automatically increase the initial pressure.
1
Check and calm patient.
Apply cuff to another extremity with less
movement and steady pulse.
Check tube and cuff.
Check cuff position.
Check cuff for tightness.
Check if the cuff is connected to the monitor.
Check and replace the tube if required.
Reposition/check the cuff.
Apply the cuff to another extremity where
the pulse measurement is easier.
Check the patient (see also message "cannot
measure").
Repeat the measurement.
Check the patient and alarm limits.
