Step 3.
Disconnect the cables from the adapter.
Step 4.
Rotate the adapter-retention brackets to the open position.

Step 5.
Pull the adapter out of the adapter connector; then, lift the adapter out of the server.

Note: If you have installed the optional ServeRAID adapter memory module, remove it and keep it
in future use (see "Removing an optional ServeRAID adapter memory module" on page 223).
Step 6.
Install the PCI slot filler.
Step 7.
Rotate the adapter-retention brackets to the close position.
