Use offline folding (manual fold)
Introduction
An important feature of the Océ PlotWave folder is offline folding, also known as manual folding.
Create a template in Océ Express WebTools and enable offline folding on the user panel to use
offline folding with the Océ PlotWave 450/550.
NOTE
• Use offline folding only for the sheets that do not exceed a maximum length of 6m, otherwise
an error occurs.
• You can only fold paper. When you try to fold polyester, transparent or vellum media, a media
jam will occur.
Procedure
1. On the printer's user panel, open the system menu.
2. Select [Offline folding], follow the wizard and select a template to enable offline folding.
3. Check the status of the folder light. Make sure the light is on.
When the light is
Off
Blinks slowly
Blinks rapidly
On

4. Feed the sheet of paper short edge, face down and with the legend on the side of the folder's LED
light.
NOTE
When you want to insert another sheet, make sure the folder light does not blink. A
media jam can occur.
5. Collect your output.
Result
Depending on the output length your delivery destination can differ.
After you finish
When you want to disable offline folding:
1. On the printer's user panel, open the system menu.
2. Select [Offline folding], follow the wizard to disable offline folding.

The printer is online and off-line folding is not possible.
The printer is offline but the folder is still processing the last prints.
An error has occurred
The printer is offline and you can insert the paper.
