Shift and Caps Lock Behavior
Shift and Caps Lock behavior for the 6873i's on-screen keyboard has also been enhanced in
Release 4.2.0 SP1. Pressing the Shift key once, now changes the keyboard to upper case
character mode but is limited to one character input. After one character is pressed, the
keyboard will revert back to lower case character mode. Pressing and holding the Shift key
enables Caps Lock whereby the keyboard changes to upper case character mode and will stay
in upper case character mode until the Shift key is pressed again.
Specifying the Input Language Using the IP Phone UI
Use the following procedure to specify the phone's input language using the phone's native UI:
1. Press
2. Press the Language icon.
