Symptom
Printed images are fuzzy.
Printed images are cut
off.
Printed images are
skewed.
Irregular horizontal lines
appear in the image.
Printed images have
vertical lines.
Dirt on the top edge or
back of the paper.
Checkpoints
Is the machine being used in
conditions of very humid, or
humidity or temperature rapidly
changes?

Are the originals placed correctly?
Is the paper loaded correctly?

Is the slit glass dirty?
Check the machine interior.
Corrective Actions
Use in an environment that has
suitable humidity.
Run [Drum Refresh].
When placing originals on the platen,
align them with the original size
indicator plates.
When placing originals in the
document processor, align the
original width guides securely before
placing the originals.
Check the position of the paper
width guides.
Perform center line adjustment. For
more information about how to do
so, contact your service
representative.
Contact your service representative. ―
Clean the slit glass.
Open the right cover. If the machine
interior is dirty with toner, clean it
using soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
