Connect the equipment.

Connect the signal generator to the input of the power splitter.

Connect the power sensor to one output of the power splitter, and

connect channel 1 of the oscilloscope to the other power splitter
output (put the 50 Ω feedthrough at the input of the oscilloscope).
Set up the oscilloscope.

Set the time base to 500 ns/div.

Set channel 1 to 100 mV/div.

Press , then press the Average softkey.

Toggle the # Average softkey to select 8 averages.

Set the signal generator for 1 MHz at about 5.6 dBm.

Notice that the signal on the display is about 5 cycles and six divisions of
amplitude.
