Appendix C Timeouts

The values in the following tables represent times which must pass before the re-
lated actions can be triggered.
On Ethernet
Meaning
Maximum wait time until a telegram is
completely received via TCP/IP
Maximum wait time until a telegram is
completely sent via TCP/IP
Maximum wait time of the CP until a job
sent to the CPU by an external client is
answered by the CPU
Logout time when all channels are busy
and MW is not yet connected (so that
MW can always establish a connection).
Time before arriving requests for con-
nection are processed
Wait time after an unsuccessful attempt
by a client to establish a connection
Wait time of a client for confirmation of a
request to establish a connection
Maximum time for successful BOOTP
job
Maximum wait time for sending confir-
mation of the test e-mail
Idle time of an FTP connection after the
expiration of which the connection of the
FTP server is disconnected when a new
FTP client wants to establish a connec-
tion
Maximum wait time of an FTP server for
the establishment of a data connection
