Appendix C Timeouts

The values presented in the following tables are the times after which the associ-
ated action is initiated at the earliest.
At the Ethernet
Meaning
Maximum waiting time until a telegram
must have been received in its entirety
via TCP/IP.
Maximum waiting time until a telegram
must have been sent in its entirety via
TCP/IP.
Maximum waiting time of the CP until the
CPU responds to a command sent to it
by an external client.
Logout time if all channels are occupied
and MW is not yet connected (so that
the MW can always establish a connec-
tion).
Interval in which incoming connection
establishment requests are processed.
Waiting time after unsuccessful connec-
tion establishment attempt by a client
Waiting time of a client for the confirma-
tion of a connection establishment re-
quest
Maximum time for successful BOOT
command
