"Learning" the Connected Impedance

Whilst the amplifier is always measuring the impedance of the connected (or
disconnected!) load, it is necessary to interface with a PC and use ICORE to set
the impedance reference and the allowable deviation from this value. Assuming
the amplifier is connected to its load and also to the PC, in ICORE bring up the
amplifier's "Front Panel".
Channel
is muted.
Ensure the channel is muted initially and the front panel gain pot is set to
minimum. Make sure you can see the voltage/current/impedance display by
pressing "Cycle Display" or double clicking on the Status Display area.
With an appropriate test signal fed into the correct channel, and a load
connected, unmute the channel and slowly turn up the front panel pot. The
voltage and current readings should begin to register and, after a few seconds, an
impedance reading will be displayed.
Unmute
channel.
