Using PolaSharp

The PolaSharp filter offers precise control of the sharpening
effects within an image. It can be applied to the entire image
or to a selected area of interest. To sharpen your scanned
image with the PolaSharp Plug-in filter:
Turn off the hardware sharpening by clicking Custom on the

CS-500 PtP control panel. Then click Sharp on the Sharpening
panel, set the Focus slider to 1.0 on the Sharpness dialog box,
and click OK. When Focus is set to 1.0, the Extent slider has
no effect.
Scan the photograph and make sure the image you want to

sharpen is in the active window in Photoshop or you have
selected an area of interest to sharpen.
Click Filter, Sharpen, Polasharp CS-500 PtP on the Photoshop

menu and select PolaSharp from the pop-up menu to open the
PolaSharp dialog box.
