The More Options tool provides you with additional scanner
and image controls. These controls include:
Descreening
•
Velocity
•
Gray Scan CCD Filter
•
Using the linear gamma curve
•
To use the controls in the More Options tool
Click on the More Options tool in the Settings window. When
the More Options screen appears, select the particular control
to be modified and its option, then click OK.
Descreen
Descreen allows you to remove moiré patterns in images.
A moiré is an undesirable pattern in printing that results from
incorrect screen angles of overprinting halftones. Moirés usu-
ally result when you scan images taken directly from a maga-
zine (instead of scanning a continuous glossy photographic
original or a transparency).
