EDID (Extended Display Identification Data)

EDID is a communications protocol or instruction set for the
identification of display devices to computers using the DDC
(Display Data Channel) transmission standard. EDID information
consists of the resolution, refresh rate, and pixel clock information
of a display device.
You can apply an EDID to a selected input by selecting one of
the following categories of EDID files, shown in the
beginning on the next page.
• One of 17 factory-loaded EDID files (numbers 1 through 17)
• The EDID of the display connected to an output:
DXP 44 and 84 — 18 through 21

DXP 168 and 88 — 18 through 25
•
DXP 1616 — 18 through 33
•
• One of the user-defined files, to which you have assigned your
own EDID values:
DXP 44, 84, 88 — 26 through 33
•
DXP 1616 and 168 — 34 through 49
•

• PCM 2-channel audio (stereo)
• AC-3 6-channel audio
• PCM 8-channel audio
• AC-3 8-channel audio
