still consumes power, to switch off the unit com-
pletely, take the power plug out of the socket
and take the batteries out of the battery com-
partment.
Connection of the headphones
To listen to the music via earphones (not sup-
plied) connect them to the PHONES JACK. When
connecting the headphones, the speakers will
switch off automatically.
Attention! Do not use high volume while using
the headphones. Doctors do not recommend
continuous using of headphones.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Volume control
Use the volume control to select the desired
volume level.
Radio stations reception
1. Set the FUNCTION switch to the RADIO posi-
tion.
2. Select the desired band: FM or MW, by set-
ting the BAND switch to the corresponding
position.
While tuning to the station, transferring ster-
eo signal, the FM ST indication will light up.
3. Rotate the TUNING knob to select the de-
sired radio station.
4. After you finish listening to the radio set the
FUNCTION switch to the OFF position.
Antenna
For better reception in the FM band, extend the
antenna completely and position it at the de-
sired angle.
Playback of CD discs
Note:
Loading – Open the disc slot. Insert a CD disc
and close the lid.

Ejecting – After the playback is stopped, open
the disc slot lid and remove the disc. Put the
disc in the case.
Always close the disc slot lid to prevent dust
from getting into the disc slot. Always remove
the disc from the disc slot if it is not being played
back.
1. Switch on the unit.
2. Select the CD discs playback mode. To do it
set the FUNCTION switch to the CD position.
3. If there is no a disc in the disc slot or if the
disc is damaged the "no" symbols will appear
on the LCD-display.
4. Open the disc slot. Insert a disc and close
the disc slot lid. Make sure that the disc is
inserted properly – with the label upwards.
5. The number of tracks and the "CD" symbols
will appear on the LCD-display.
Note: The unit supports playback of CD-R and
CD-RW discs
Playback
In the stop mode press the PLAY/PAUSE button,
the playback of the disc will start.
Pause
To pause the playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE
button in the playback mode.
