Before operating
Unpack the unit. Remove the stickers from the
upper and front panel.
Attention! Do not remove the stickers, concern-
ing safety, on the rear panel!
Press the CLOSE/OPEN button and remove the
protective insert before operating the unit.

POWER CONNECTION

Line supply
Before connecting the unit, make sure that your
home electricity supply corresponds to the
voltage specified on the unit.
1. To connect the unit, insert the plug of the
power cord in the corresponding jack (24).
Set the switch (4) in the desired operating
mode.
Note: Static electricity can lead to interferences
in the operation of the unit. In this case
disconnect the unit, and then connect
again. If the problem does not disappear,
apply to a service center.
2. To switch off the unit completely, disconnect
the power cord from the power supply.

Battery supply

1. Disconnect the cassette recorder.
2. Open the main battery compartment lid
(11) on the rear of the unit, by pressing the
catch.
3. Insert 8 UM-2/R 14/ C batteries (not sup-
plied) in the battery compartment following
the polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment lid (11).
Attention!
Battery leakage can lead to injuries and
damages of the unit. To avoid it follow the
instructions below:
-
Place the batteries properly, following the
polarity marked inside the unit.
-
Do not use old and new batteries or
batteries of different types together.
-
Take the batteries out if you are not going to
use the unit for a long time.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

1. Select operating mode using the switch (4):
AUX (MP3), TAPE (OFF), RADIO.
2. Use the volume knob to set the desired
volume level (1).
3. After using the unit set the switch to OFF
position.

Attention! In order to save energy always set
the operating mode switch to OFF position,
when you are not using the unit.
Radio stations reception
1. Set the operating mode switch to RADIO
position.
2. Select the desired range: FM, AM or FM ST
(FM stereo), by setting the range switch to
the corresponding position.
While tuning to a station, transferring stereo
signal, the FM ST indication will light up.
3. Rotate the TUNING knob to select the
desired radio station.
4. For better reception in FM band extend
the aerial completely and place it at the
desired angle. For reception in AM band the
cassette recorder has a built-in antenna,
for better reception in AM band, try several
variants of the cassette recorder location.
5. After you finish listening to the radio set the
operating mode switch to OFF position or
select another operating mode.
BASS
For low frequency amplification press the BASS
button, the corresponding indication will light
up. To switch off low frequency amplification
press this button once again, the indication will
go out.
Cassette playback
1. Set the operating mode switch to the TAPE
position.
2. Press the STOP/EJ button and insert a cas-
sette into the cassette compartment.
3. Close the cassette compartment.
4. Press the PLAY button to playback.
5. Use the corresponding knob to adjust vol-
ume level.
6. Use the PAUSE button to pause playback.
7. Press the STOP/EJ button to stop playback.
8. To fast forward/fast rewind use the F.FWD/
REW buttons correspondingly.
9. After the playback is finished, it will stop
automatically.
10. Press the STOP/EJ button to eject the cas-
sette, eject the cassette from the cassette
compartment.
Warning! In order to avoid damaging of the
cassette mechanism or the tape always press
the STOP/EJ button after each operation.
