Tine Control Cable Removal &
Installation - Serial 312000001 & up,

1. Remove the cotter key and pin from tine control
handle. Loosen the lock nuts that connects the cable
to the handlebar and remove cable (Fig. 048).

2. Remove the cotter key and pin from the tine control
bracket. Loosen the lock nuts that connects the
cable to the stationary bracket. Remove cable (Fig.
049).

3. Install new cable. Insert all pins and cotter keys, and
finger tighten lock nuts into brackets.
4. Adjust the jam nut on the tine control bracket yoke
so that no threads are showing then adjust the yoke
as far onto the rod as possible. Tighten the jam nut
against the yoke (Fig. 050).

5. Adjust the lower nut that connects the cable to the
stationary bracket all the way to the end so that one
thread is showing at most. Tighten the internal nut to
secure the cable to the bracket (Fig. 051).
