The movable mechanical

are lubricated
at

assembly
plant
for
proper
quiet operation. However,
if
additional
lubrication
should be
needed
between
the required
6000
mile
service
intervals
use the lubricants
specified on page
63.
DOOR WEATHERSTRIPS
A light coating of rubber lubricant may be required if the weather-
strips emit squeaks or
undesirable
noise.

Check body
drain holes
and dust valves for
proper
operation.

WASHING
Frequent
washings are recommended to
maintain the
car's origina

tree
sap,
insect or othe

type
sprays,
road
salt,
fallout from
chImneys or any
type foreign
materiDI are evident, the car should be
washed
as soon as
possible. These
deposits often contain chemica ls
that, if
all
owed
to
remain on the
painted
surfaces,
may cause extensive
damag.e.
Never
wash a ca

hot water, in the direct rays of the sun,

wipe
dirt from
dry
painted
