ADJUSTABLE
HEAD RESTRAINTS
The manually adjustable head
restraints can be
raised
by
l
ifting
upward on the head rest raint to
one of
the
automatic holding
positions prov ided.
To
lower the
head
restra int
simply
press
downward on
the
head restraint
with sufficient pressure
to
over-
come the holding detents.
DOOR
LOCK SYSTEM
The
door outside lock
cylinders
are
located
below the
push
button
po rtion of
the
front
door
hand les.
To
lock t he
door with
the key,
insert the key
and turn it towa
rd
the front
of
the
car;
turn
the
key

toward
the rear of
the
ca
r
to
unlock
the door. All
doors can
be locked
from the
inside
by
depressi
ng
the door lock control knobs.
The
front
doors
can also be
locked by
depressing
the
inside
door
lock control
knob
when
the door
is open, then
holdi
ng the door
outside
handle plunger inward while
closing the
door.
A rear
door can
be
locked
when
leaving
the car
by
first depressing
the door
inside
lock
contro
l
knob and then
closing
the
door.
It is not
necessary to
hold
the door outside handle
plunger
inward
while
dosing
the
rear door.

door latch release
handles are
recessed
in the door
interior
trim
pane
l.
Pull
inward on the
top
of the
rectangular handle to
open a
door.
As
a
safety precaution,
neither
the
front
nor
the
rea
r
doors can
be
opened
by the inside release
hand
le
when the
lock
control
knob
is
in the depressed
position. The
latch release handle is
operative
only
when the
control knob
is
in the
upward
position
.
CA UTION
: For maximum protection depress
all
door
lock
buttons when
operati
ng
vehic
le.
HOOD RELEASE
HANDLE
Pull
the
"
Hood"
release
handle,
located
at the lower
left
area of the
instrument
panel to release the hood. An
aux iliary
catch,
located under
the right center
edge
of
the
hood
must be
pushed
inward
to
completely release the
hood.
