USE THE RIGHT ENGINE OIL
OIL QUALITY
By law, all 1968 and later veh icles so ld in t he U.S. are equ ipped
with ai r pollu tion control systems. It is imperative that on ly motor
lubrica ti ng oils of the hi ghest quality be used in the engine of you r
veh icle to prov ide maximum eff iciency of th e cran kcase ventilating
system that reduces air poll utants. Oil s that meet Ford M otor Com -
pany Specification of ES E-M2C 10 1- B should be used. You r dealer
has a Ford brand oi l that meets this specification.

OIL VISCOSITY
W hen you c hange or add oi l, yo u shou ld also select oil w it h the p roper
viscosity, selec ted from the accompanying table, w hich most closely
matches the temperat ure range you expect to encou nter for the next
6 months or 6000 miles.
