HEATING -VENTILATING-
DEFROSTING (NON-AIR
CONDITIONED CARS)
The operation of
the heater-ventilator
system
is
controlled by five
push-buttons. a
temperature
control
knob
with its
slide rule
dial, and
a
four
speed
fan. The fan is
automaticall
y turned on when any push
button, other than the
OFF
button,
is
depressed.
The
OFF button turns
all systems off and stops
the fan.
Four adjustable
registers in the instru-
ment panel provide
for ventilation.
There is also an air
duct
over the
tunnel area
that directs
heated
or
unheated air to
the rear floor
area.

TO VENTILATE THE CAR
Two
Flow-Contro! push buttons are provided.
The
"UPP
ER
VENT"
button
when depressed directs outside air through
the instrument
panel
registers and through open
ings
under the instrument panel.
Depressing the "LOWER
VENT" Flow-Contro
l
button
directs
out-
side air through openings under
the instrument
panel to cool the f
loor
area
.
Adj ust the
fan
speed by
rotating the
large knob to the
fan
speed
desired.
TO HEAT THE CAR
Depress
the "HEAT" control button
.
Turn the "
TEMP"
control
knob
to move the pointer to the desired
temperature range.
TO DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD
Depress the
"DEFROST" contro
l
button.
Turn
the
"TEM P" contro
l
knob
to move
the
pointer to
the
"MAX"
position.
