PROGRAM CHANNEL SELECTION
-
Although the units wi
ll
play
all four
program
channels automatically and in
order,
a
manual
override
is
provided to
all
ow
program
select ion at will.
To
change programs,
pu
sh
the
vo
l
ume
knob in and
re
lease
it.
Each
time
the
knob
is
pushed and released,
the
unit
wil
l
step to
the next program
channel,
returning to
t
he
f
irst prog
ram when
all
programs
have been
selected
.
STEREO BALANCE CONTROL
-is
the ring knob
at
the
upper
right
of the
dia
l.
Turni
ng the cont
rol
clockwise reduces
the
vo
lume
on
the
left
speakers and increases
the volume of
the
rig
ht
speakers,
while
turning the control counterc lockwise
does
just
the
oppo site
.
Speak
er Fader
Control-The front
to rear fader control is
located
to the
right
of the steering colum
n
under
the instrument
cluster.
It
balances
t
he front and rear spea kers
for
the most
pleasing
sound effect.

CAUTI~N:
The
tape cartridge should
always
be disengaged
approximately
one inch when not playing.
It
is recom·
mended that tapes be stored in a
Stereo
Tape Deckholder
which
is
available from your dealer. Protect the open end
of
the
cartridge from
damage
and
dirt
.
NOTE: During
extremely
cold weather, the unit may take
a few
minutes to warm up to operating
temperature.
To
operate
the radio portion of
t
he stereo
that
is insta
lled
in the
instrument
panel, disengage
the
tape cartridge
from
the tape slot
approximately one inch or
remove
enti rely.
This automatically
switches
the
radio
sectio
n
of the
unit
on,
and the
tape
section
off. Now the small
upper
right· hand
knob or
push buttons can be used to tune
stations
in
the
co
nventional
manner.
All
other contro
ls
are
common to both
sections
.
NOTE: The push
buttons
of the Combination AM
/
Stereo-
Sonic Tape System
are set
to the desired broadcast station
in the
same manner
as
the conventional AM
radio.
