To install the bracket, find an empty slot in your chassis. Unscrew the plate that cov-
ers the end of the slot. Screw in the bracket in place of the plate. Next, attach the flat-
cable connector to LPT1 on the CPU card. Wire 1 of the cable is red or blue, and the
other wires are gray. Make sure that wire 1 corresponds to pin 1 of LPT1. Pin 1 is on
the upper right side of LPT1.

VGA Connector (VGA1)

The PCA-6013 includes a VGA interface that can drive conventional CRT displays.
VGA1 is a standard 15-pin D-SUB connector commonly used for VGA. Pin assign-
ments for CRT connector VGA1 are detailed in Appendix A.

Serial Ports (COM1, COM2)

The PCA-6013 offers two serial ports: COM1 and COM2. These ports can connect to
serial devices.
The IRQ and address ranges for all ports are fixed. However, if you want to disable
the port or change these parameters later, you can do this in the system BIOS setup.
Different devices implement the RS-232 standard in different ways. If you are having
problems with a serial device, be sure to check the pin assignments for the connec-
tor.
