Note: Determine the left and right side of the machine from
the normal operating position.

Checking the Fluid Levels

1. Check the engine oil level before and after the engine
is first started; refer to Checking the Engine-oil Level
(page 15).
2. Check the transaxle/hydraulic fluid level before
the engine is first started; refer to Checking the
Transaxle/Hydraulic-fluid Level (page 17).
3. Check the brake fluid level before the engine is first
started; refer to Checking the Brake-fluid Level (page
18).
