ORIGINAL INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Electric radiant heater for covered outdoor areas International Version Exclusively engineered and made in Germany.
The following instructions should assist in this regard. The new HEATSCOPE™ is a high-intensity radiant heater, which was designed for covered indoor or covered outdoor use in a private or commercial environment and may not be used for other purposes. It can be used on terraces and in pavilions as well as in smoking areas, winter gardens or wellness areas on cooler days to generate a comfortable body heat without substantially heating the entire environment.
1. The HEATSCOPE™ must be fitted with an all-pole ON/OFF switch (not included in scope of delivery). You can likewise operate the radiant heater using a radio receiver and a remote control, which are availa- ble as optional accessories.
4. Installation instructions The different options for installing the HEATSCOPE™ are shown in the diagrams on the following pages in Section 4. Make sure that the radiant heater is securely connected and fixed to the installation surface. The fas- teners must be of a tensile and shear strength of at least 3 times the weight of the radiant heater that is being mounted including the accessories.

· Now slide the HEATSCOPE™ (2) onto the mounting brackets until the clip (3) clicks audibly into place on both sides above the raised side plate (4) and the HEATSCOPE™ is secured from slipping out.

· Now slide the HEATSCOPE™ (5) onto the mounting brackets until the clip (4) clicks audibly into place on both sides above the raised side plate (4) and the HEATSCOPE™ is secured from slipping out.

4.3.2 HEATSCOPE™ MHS-DAH 300 / MHS-DAH 500 · Diagram (10) shows the HEATSCOPE™ with the 19,68 inch / 500mm ceiling suspension MHS-DAH 500 (installation instructions apply correspondingly for the 11,81 inch / 300mm spacer MHS-DAH 300). · Fit the first threaded element (6) on/to the intended installation surface. For easy mounting, these threaded elements can be supplemented by oval ceiling attachments MHS-DAHDB that are optionally available as accessories.

4.3.3 HEATSCOPE™ MHS-DAHV 300/ MHS-DAHV 500 · Diagram (9) shows the HEATSCOPE™ together with the 11,81 inch / 300mm ceiling suspension MHS- DAH 300 plus additional 11,81 inch extension MHS-DAHV 300 (the installation instructions apply corres- pondingly to the 19,68 Inch / 500mm extension MHS-DAHV 500).

· Finally slide the two HEATSCOPE™ radiant heaters onto the mounting brackets until the clip clicks audibly into place on both sides above the raised side plate and the HEATSCOPE™ heaters are secured from slipping out.

DAH MHS-DAHDB MHS-ESM US * The HEATSCOPE™ ¤ radiant heater is normally delivered with an open cable without a plug. The connection and the relevant tests required for stationary units must be performed and documented by a qualified electrician. Note here, in any case, the appropriate standards, e.g. VDE etc.
Note here in any case the operating instructions supplied with each accessory. Although there is power to the HEATSCOPE™, it is possible that the LED likewise does not light if the temperature protection was activated. Do not forget to switch off your HEATSCOPE™ again! 6.

The latter must be observed and complied with in any case. The illustrated installation surfaces must comply at least with fire protection class A2. Please note: The HEATSCOPE™ fulfills IP protection class 4 (IP-X4) for ceiling mounting and IP protection class 0 (IP-X0) for wall mounting.
Caution! Do not use a high pressure hose or other such high pressure water equipment to clean the HEATSCOPE™. Also, do not use sharp objects and aggressive cleaning agents. Make sure that no cleaning residue remains on the unit.

Contact information is at the back. 12. Guarantee and warranty The HEATSCOPE™ is guaranteed for 24 months. The warranty period begins on the date on which the new unit is purchased. Consumables or defects that affect the usability of the unit only slightly are excluded from the warranty.
Please contact the manufacturer if you need replacement parts. 14. Decommissioning / disposal This product was packaged in an eco-friendly way. All HEATSCOPE™ packaging coming into circulation either directly or via trade is certified according to §6 of the packaging regulations.
