Connecting to a Computer via USB
Without a MIDI interface, the SP2 can be connected to a computer via USB. A single USB cable
can carry incoming and outgoing MIDI data between the SP2 and a computer. You don't even
need to install any additional driver.
Though the SP2 can use MIDI port and USB port at the same time, it may cause
problems with running out of polyphony. So, we recommend you to use either
MIDI port or USB port at a time.
What is USB?
USB is the abbreviation for Universal Serial Bus, which is a serial bus standard to interface
devices. The SP2 support "Plug and Play" feature of Windows XP.
