Extend the server from the rack.
a.
Remove the access panel (on page 24).
b.
Remove the air baffle (on page 27).

Disconnect and remove the optical drive cable.

Remove the screw and lift the carrier.

Remove the optical drive from the drive bay.

Remove a component drive cage blank

Do one of the following:
1.
For tower models, open and remove the bezel

For rack models, extend the server from the rack.

Remove the component drive cage blank:
