Replacing the communication board

Procedure
1. Prepare the server for hardware replacement.
2. Remove the access panel.
3. Remove the communication board.
4. Install the new communication board.
5. Prepare the server for operation.

Replacing a server drive

Procedure
1. Prepare the server for hardware replacement.
2. Remove the access panel.
3. If installed, remove the communication board.
4. Perform the step applicable to your situation:
If you are replacing the server drive 1 or are replacing both server drives, remove both server drive
assemblies.
If you are only replacing the server drive 2, remove only the drive 2 assembly.
5. Remove the drive from the cage.
6. Install the new drive in the cage.
7. Install the server drive assembly.
8. Prepare the server for operation.

Prerequisites
Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have a T-10 screwdriver available.
Procedure
1. Remove the drive screws.
2. Remove the drive from the cage.
