5.13. OEMSEConfigureDHCP

Command
OEMSEConfigureDHCP
Description
This command is used to enable or disable DHCP. Use the mandatory parameter
EnableDHCP and specify the value True to enable DHCP or False to disable DHCP.
Example: OEMSEConfigureDHCP -OEMSEparams EnableDHCP="True". When enabled, the
command will obtain a new IPAddress, Subnetmask and Default Gateway. When disabled,
the IPAddress, Subnetmask and Default Gateway are reset to all zeros. After disabling
DHCP, the IPAddress can be manually configured using the OEMSEConfigureIPAddress
command.
Syntax
OEMSEConfigureDHCP [common_options] -OEMSEparams EnableDHCP="< value >" [SM-
CLP-target]
Options
[common_options]
Parameter Description
Optional input that indicates the SM-CLP target group for the given command. This
SM-CLP-target
overrides the current group. ".." indcates parent group. "/" indicates root group.
- takes in additional parameters as arguments as listed below in the Parameters table
OEMSEParams of this section. The parameters has to be entered in a key=value format.

Common Error Messages
The IP address settings for the BladeEngine iSCSI initiator can not be modified when
there is an active iSCSI boot session. Please use the iSCSISelect configuration utility to
modify the IP address settings. No configuration changes were made to the BladeEngine
iSCSI initiator.,
DHCP will be enabled after the next reboot.,
