 HOW TO SET THE RIGHT STARTING ADDRESS:
Refer to the next chapter (DMX-512 address setting) to learn how to set the starting address on this unit. The
start address of each unit is very important. Unfortunately it is impossible to tell you in this user manual which
start addresses you have to set because this completely depends on the controller you will use... So please
refer to the user manual of your DMX-controller to find out which starting addresses you must set.
Example settings for different channel configurations:
 1 Channel mode: 001 (unit1), 002 (unit2), 003 (unit3), ...  intervals of 1 channel
 4 Channel mode: 001 (unit1), 005 (unit2), 009 (unit3), ...  intervals of 4 channels
 256 Channel mode: 001 (unit1), 257 (unit2)
DMX-CONFIGURATION OF MATRIX LED:
1 CHANNEL MODE
256 CHANNEL MODE
Three DMX-modes are available: 1CH, 4CH and 256 mode:
1 channel mode:
Extremely user friendly mode: you only need 1 DMX channel to choose 1 of the 11 preprogrammed
sound chases or you can use our Effect commander to switch the unit ON/OFF (no switch pack needed).
4 channel mode:
You can take full control of all pre-programmed functions of the effect.
 Channel 1: switch the unit on/off and select how channels 2 + 3 work.
 Channel 2: depending on the setting of channel1 you can select 1 of 12 patterns or 12 chases.

 Channel 3: depending on the setting of channel1 you can select 1 of 15 color combinations or set a
desired chase speed.
 Channel 4: select the desired strobe frequency.
256 channel mode:
For maximum flexibility and creativity, you can program every single LED of the unit. Please note that in
this mode the unit uses 256 DMX-channels: programming so many channels is only convenient with
adapted DMX-software on a PC.
HOW TO SETUP:
MAIN MENU:
 To select any of the menu options, press the MENU button up to when the required one is shown on the
display.
 Select the function with the ENTER button. The display will blink.
 Use DOWN and UP button to choose the desired menu option.
 Once the required menu option is selected, press the ENTER button to select.
 Press the MENU button for 2seconds to save the settings and go back to normal working mode.
To go back to the functions without any change just wait 8 seconds. The menu structure is shown below.

Used to set the number of DMX-
channels.
 Press the MENU button until
is shown on the display.
 Press the ENTER button, the
display starts blinking.
 Use DOWN and UP button to
select the (1 channel),
(4 channel) or
(256 channel) mode.
 Once the desire mode is selected, press the ENTER button to setup
(or automatically return to the main functions without any change after 8 seconds)
 Press the MENU button for about 2 seconds to return to running mode.
