3.10 ASYNC Test

To execute the ASYNC Test, type 7 from the DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU, press Enter, and
follow the directions displayed on the screen. The ASYNC Test contains six subtests that test the
T3300SL's asynchronous communication functions. Type the number corresponding to the subtest
you want to execute and press Enter.
Subtests 01 through 04 require the following data format:

Stop bit:
Data pattern: 20h to 7Eh
The following message will appear when Subtests 01, 03, 04, and 05 are selected.
channel#1 = xxxxh
channel#2 = xxxxh
channel#3 = xxxxh
Select the channel number (1-3)
The serial I/O port address is specified by the xxxxh number.
The T3300SL supports three serial port channels. Select the serial port channel number and press
Enter to execute the selected subtest.
Subtest 01 Wraparound (board)
NOTE: To execute this subtest an RS-232-C wraparound connector (34M741621G01) must
be connected to the RS-232-C port. The RS-232-C wraparound connector wiring diagram is
described in Appendix F.
This subtest checks the data send/receive function through the wraparound connector.
Subtest 02 Board (#1) <=> board (#2)
NOTE: To execute this subtest an RS-232-C cable (9-pin to 9-pin) must be connected to
channels 1 and 2. The RS-232-C direct cable wiring diagram is described in Appendix F.
This subtest checks the data send/receive function through the RS-232-C direct cable.
