Uei And Learned Ir Test - Russound MCA-C5 Service Manual

1. Click the "Clear" button in the "Command Queue" window.
Expand the "UEI and Learned IR" script.
2. Right click the word "UEI and Learned IR" then left click "Load Test".
3. Click the "Send" button next to the command
4. The two LEDS above Source 1 column of the IR Switcher PCB should blink
momentarily showing you that UEI sent the Play command for a Panasonic CD
player.
5. Get ready to press the Number 5 the SRC2 Remote Control. You will be
pointing it at the front of the MCA-C5 towards the IR window.
6. Click the "Send" button next to the command
7. The IR "talk back" LED of the MCA-C5 will blink.
Note: Once the LED begins blinking the MCA-C5 is in the Learn IR mode.
The RED will blink for a few seconds then stop.
8. Press the Number 5 on the SRC2 Remote Control. You had earlier set this
Remote control for Sony IR codes. Any Sony TV remote should work also.
9. The IR "talk back" LED will stop blinking once the command is stored.
10. Click the "Send" button next to the command
11. The Source 1 and Source 7 number 5 LED's will momentarily blink.
This shows the stored command is being sent from the UEI chip.
12. Click the send button of the command
Several times to confirm the UEI stored and send correctly.
13. You have confirmed the Learned IR function operates properly.
