this section and continue to "Flap and Aileron Linkage
Installation" which is the next section of this manual.
Note: The flap stays installed in this section can be
removed if you choose to install operational flaps in the
future. They can also be installed permanently using
30-minute epoxy if you choose not to install operational
flaps during the life of your model. This will be covered
in this section of the manual.
1. Locate the flap stays and hardware to install them
into the wing. You will also need the right and left wing
panels for this step.

2. Place 2–3 drops of thin CA in each of the flap stay
screw holes to harden the surrounding wood. This will help
in preventing the screws from vibrating loose.

3. Use the two 2mm x 15mm sheet metal screws to
secure the flap stay in the wing. Note the stay faces the
trailing edge of the wing and that the nylon portion of the
stay is placed more into the servo pocket as shown.

4. Optional: If you choose to install the stay
permanently, use a small amount of 30-mionute epoxy on
the wood portion of the stay where it contacts the wing ribs.
This will secure the stay in the wing, making it impossible to
remove without damaging the wing.
5. Repeat Steps 2 and 4 to install the remaining flap stay.
