Scan Interval: Sets the frequency in minutes for how
often the Silentwriter scans the file server. The range
is 1 to 255 minutes and the default is 5 minutes. If a
limited file server has been specified or Scan for File
Servers is turned off, the scan interval is
automatically set to 0 minutes.
Queue Polling Rate: Sets the frequency in seconds fo
how often the Silentwriter verifies the jobs on the
print queue when operating in the Network Printer
mode. The range is 1 to 255 seconds and the default
is five seconds.

Operating Mode

Use these buttons to select either Network Printer or
Remote Printer operating mode.

Remote Printer Information

Printer Name: Specifies the name of the remote
printer displayed on the print server screen of the
remote print server (which may be a server or a
workstation). You may use any combination of
upper-case alphanumeric characters, hyphens (-),
and underscores (_) in the remote printer name.
Printer Number: Specifies the printer number of the
selected remote printer.

Change Password Dialog Box

You open the Change Password dialog box by selecting
the Change Password button in the NetWare
Configuration dialog box.
Follow these steps to change the printer password.
1.
Enter the current password in the Current
Password text box. If no password has been
defined, as with new printers, leave Current
Password blank.
2.
Type the new password in the New Password text
box.
3.
Retype the new password in the Confirm Password
text entry box.
4.
Click the Save button to change the password.
note:
If the new password does not match the
password defined with PCONSOLE, NetWare will not
be able to access the Silentwriter.
