REMOVING
THE
CRANKSHAFT-CONNECTING
ROD GEARS AND BALANCE SHAFT
1)
Immobilise the balance shaft with a bolt (a) inserted in the
threaded perforations.
2)
Turn the gear (1) on the balance shaft so that the bolt rests
against a crankcase rib.
3)
Remove the crankshaft-connecting rod nut (2).
4)
Remove the balance shaft nut (3).
5)
Remove the two gears (20 and 30 tooth) and the key.
(4) from the crankshaft-connecting rod.
6)
Remove the 34 tooth gear and the key (5) from the balance
shaft.
REMOVING THE INLET CONNECTOR AND VALVE
1)
Remove the four bolts on the inlet connector, two of them (1)
using the safety spanner.
Special tool:
Ref. 254002000199
2)
Remove the connector and the inlet valve.
3)
Check the perfect condition of the valve assembly blades and
support.
WARNING:
The position of the stop must be 7 mm from the valve stop.
